After beating Premier League Champions and Champions League Winners Manchester United at the weekend, Liverpool will no doubt be oozing confidence when they travel to France later tonight to take on Marseille in their opening Group D match, which is being shown Live on ITV.

Liverpool Manager Rafa Benitez is no doubt on Cloud 9 at the moment and that feeling would of no doubt got even better when he found out earlier today that captain Steven Gerrard and star striker Fernando Torres have been passed fit to start.

However, Marseille will be eager to avenge last Seasons humiliating defeat against Liverpool, which cost Erik Gerets men a place in the knock out stages of the tournament, and will be hoping for positive performances from his main men such as midfielder Mathieu Valbuena and striker Mamadou Niang.

Valbuena scored the only goal when these two teams met in last Seasons Champions League Group Stage when Marseille shocked the Liverpool team and Anfield crowd by winning the match 0-1.
