Football Betting » Chelsea v Roma - Champions League Group Stage
Chelsea welcome to Roma to Stamford Bridge later this evening in this Champions League Group Match Fixture, which can be viewed Live on Sky Sports.
Chelsea under the guidance of new Manager Big Phil Scolari are on fire in their domestic League and they will certainly have Roma thinking how they can be contained later tonight after Chelsea smashed five goals past Middlesbro last weekend.
Roma themselves were involved in a heavy defeat at the weekend losing 4-0 at the hands of Inter Milan and not many people would fancy their chances later tonight against a Chelsea team flying with confidence.
Scolari had a host of players missing at the weekend and Michael Essien, Michael Ballack, Ashley Cole and Joe Cole look set to miss out once again.
However, Petr Cech and Ricardo Carvalho are both back in training whilst Deco tasted action as a substitute at Middlesbrough and all three could feature in the game at some point.
Roma have struggled with injuries and suspensions, but they will welcome back both Christian Panucci and Philippe Mexes to their defence after they each served domestic suspensions for the defeat to Inter.
Talismanic skipper Francesco Totti returned from injury against Inter and he will be looking to inspire against Chelsea. David Pizarro, Max Tonetto, Simone Perrotta and Juan all remain doubts for the Italian giants.
Summary
Obviously this will be a lot more difficult than Chelsea's last game where they bagged five without breaking much of a sweat and with Roma having been soundly beaten by Inter 4-0, many must be thinking just how many Chelsea will rack up this time. However, I feel this game will be a lot more closer than people think and although I fancy Chelsea just to edge it, Roma will certainly make a fight of it.
