Sheffield Wednesday play host to high flying Birmingham City later today in this Championship Fixture, which can be seen Live on Sky Sports with a 5:20pm Kick Off Time.

Birmingham have slipped up in recent weeks and now find themselves in third position in the Championship Table. A few weeks back they were chasing Wolverhampton and looked strong candidates to make a fight of it, but poor results have put paid to that at the moment and they will certainly be looking at this fixture as a real chance to put them back on track.

Birmingham completed the loan signing of Carlos Costly on Friday and he will no doubt be thrown straight into action in this important game for the Blues. A midweek victory over Derby has restored a lot of confidence back into the team after a difficult few weeks but it came at a price as James McFadden looks set to be out of action for quite some time after damaging knee ligaments.

Sheffield Wednesday were beaten midweek by in form Nottingham Forest, but they will be looking to bounce back from that with a good performance against Birmingham. Manager Brain Laws has no fresh injury concerns to contend with, but the Owls boss will be without suspended striker Francis Jeffers who saw red at the City Ground after the player lost control and was shown the changing rooms after a stupid reaction which he now no doubts regrets.

This should be quite a tight game as Sheffield Wednesday are from push overs, however Birmingham did beat them quite convincingly in their home fixture by 3-1 and the Blues will be extremly dissapointed in coming away from this game without all three points.
