Race Date: 25th July 2010
The German Grand Prix has been part of the Formula 1 Championship since 1951. Having previously used Hockenheimring as the venue for many years it was agreed that from 2007 both Hockenheimring and Nürburgring (the home of the European Grand Prix) host the race on alternate years until 2010. This year it is the turn of Nürburgring.
Ferrari have won here four times in since 2000 but each of those times was at Hockenheimring and for three of those victories it was Michael Schmacher who was behind the wheel, Mc Laren have only won once in the same period and track.
