The Singapore Grand Prix is a new event for 2008, and will be the first grand prix ever to be held at night. The race will be held on a street circuit around the Marina Bay area of Singapore. Although it is a night race it will hardly be dark, the lights that are to be erected will make it possibly even brighter than daylight.
We are now into the home stretch of the season and the standings are very tight between the top two drivers Lewis Hamilton on 78 points and Felipe Massa on 77 points. Hamiltons cause was not helped of course by the stripping of a potential win at the Italian Grand Prix and his relegation to seventh place which has brought the gap down to just 1 point.
Hamilton remains in a fighting mood, he has shown great maturity this year and will be looking for consistency as the season draws to an end.
