USPGA Championship

The 90th USPGA Championship will be held at the world famous Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan. Oakland Hills is best known for hosting the 2004 Ryder Cup where Bernhard Langer's European team were triumphant but the course also held the 1996 US Open which was won by Steve Jones. Oakland Hills has hosted 6 US Opens and this will be the 3rd time the PGA has come to these greens.

The South Course at Oakland Hills is a par 70 with a par 5 on the front and back nine. With four par 4's being over 490 yards then anything around level par will be a good score here. As ever in US majors, the emphasis will be on straight hitting but with a course of 7395yds in distance you need to be able to hit it long too.

This years event looks a wide open contest with last years champion and world number one Tiger Woods out with injury. Previous winners of the US PGA include Phil Mickelson, Rich Beem and Shaun Micheel.
