The CA Championship is the second of the three World Golf Championship events, previously known as the American Express Championship, but now known as the CA Championship.

The tournament has been played at many different venues since it's inception in 1999, including Spain, Republic of Ireland and England. From 2007 however, it will be held annually at Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Florida, USA. As of 2007, Tiger Woods has won the event six out of eight times.

There is no 36 hole cut in this event because there are only roughly 70 players in the event, as opposed to 144 in normal PGA events. The CA Championship takes place a couple of weeks before the Masters Tournament at Augusta.
