The John Smiths Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices' Hurdle is part of the Grand National meeting held at Aintree racecourse in early April, it has a race distance of two miles half a furlong and is open to novice horses of four years of age.
Nine hurdles here to be jumped, it is often contested by those who ran in the Triumph Hurdle.
