The Betfair Chase is ran at Haydock Park racecourse. As the name suggests it is sponsored by the betting exchange Betfair.
Distance covered is three miles with eighteen fences waiting to be tackled by the jockeys and their horses.
It is a very prestigious grade 1 national hunt race race and the fourth most valuable chase of the season.
Part of the Betfair million,any winner of all three parts of this in the same season will win a bonus of £1,000,000. In 2006 this was infact won by the brilliant Kauto Star.
