The Cross Country Chase is part of the Cheltenham Festival in March. It was added to the fixtures when the festival went to four days in 2005.
It has a running distance of three miles seven furlongs and is open to horses of five years of age and upwards.
The race is very popular and brings somthing different to the festival in that it has a selection of fences which include banks, ditches, hedges and water.
