The Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup is one of the oldest races and run on the last day of the Cheltenham Festival in March.
To be part of this race the horses have to be five years of age or over and have fulfilled a set of qualifying criteria related to experience in foxhunter chases.
Racing distance is three miles two and a half furlongs and the first three past the post share the richest prize money in foxhunter chase racing.
