The Goodwood Cup is part of the Glorious Goodwood festival which is held at Goodwood racecourse, it is a Group 2 flat horse race with a race distance of two miles. Open to horses of three years of age and above, it is part of the Stayers Triple Crown.
It is a major event for the best stayers of the day only the very best stayers will manage this distance,some very famous horses have won here including Yeats and Distinction.
