The Irish Derby is Ireland's greatest horse race and one of the best social events of the year. It has been run since 1866 and has been sponsored by Budweiser since 1986.
A group 1 flat race for three year old horses with a distance of 1 mile 4 furlongs it is held every year at the Curragh racecourse in County Kildare.
It is always contested by some of the best 3 three year old horses which include those that ran in the English Epsom Derby in June. Also look at horses that ran well in the Guineas, this should give you clues as to which horses are performing well.
