The Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup is one of the highlights of the racing calendar, and is a very popular event run at Leopardstown racecourse.
Won by many a top chaser including Carvills Hill, Florida Pearl and most recently Beef Or Salmon.
It is open to five year old horses and above and has a racing distance of three miles, always contested by a host of equine stars the race proves very popular with punters.
Six or seven year olds tend to do well, with the big outsiders rarely getting a look in.
