The King Edward VII Stakes is part of the Royal Ascot meeting, is a Group 2 flat horse race which is open to three year old colts and geldings, it has a racing distance one mile four furlongs.
The race used to be known and is still referred to as the Ascot Derby, it usually is a smallish field and is often contested by horses that ran in the earlier Epsom Derby.
