The King George VI and QE Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race for three-year-old and older horses. It is run over a distance of 1 mile 4 furlongs at Ascot racecourse.
It was first run in 1951 as a result of the amalgamation of the King George VI Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
The race is top drawer in terms of quality, but what makes this race so special is that it brings together horses from all over the globe both male and female, to determine the best middle distance horse in the world.
