The Lancashire Oaks is run at Haydock Park racecourse in July, it is a group 2 flat horse race for three year old horses and above. Race distance is one mile three furlongs and is open to fillies and mares, the race was up graded to Group 2 in 2004.
Staying power is required here and the favourites usually come from the the horses that ran well at Epsom .
