The Lightning Novices Chase is a new race for Doncaster racecourse as part of the two day Sky Bet meeting with the principal race being the Sky Bet Chase. The Saturday is Doncasters most valuable jumps day ever held here.

It is a Grade 2 National Hunt race that is open to horses of five years of age and above.

Race distance is two miles one hundred and ten yards, there is Ł35,000 up for grabs in prize money.
