First run in 2004 the Liverpool Hurdle is part of The Grand National Meeting which is held every year at Aintree racecourse in April.
It is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race for four-year-old horses and has a racing distance of 3 miles .There are thirteen hurdles to be tackled by the horses and jockys in the race.
The race is a very popular one and is one of the highlight of the meeting.
The horse Mighty Man has won it for the past two consecutive years.
