The Long Distance Hurdle is a grade 2 National Hunt Race held towards the end of the year at Newbury racecourse.
The distance of the race is three miles one and a half furlongs,there are twelve fences for the four year old and above horses to jump.Its a popular race with all the big stars of the day competing to see who can come out on top.
A grueling race, it is wise to look for horses that have had wins at this distance and have proved they can stay the distance.
