The Persian War Novices Hurdle is held at Chepstow racecourse, it is a Grade two National Hunt hurdle race with a racing distance of two miles four furlongs. Open to horses of four years of age and above who have to negotiate eleven hurdles in all.
The race got its name from the great Persain War horse that won the Champion Hurdle three times in 1968,1969 and 1970.
