The Betfred Sprint Cup is held at Haydock Park in September. The race gained it's Group 1 status in 1988 after being implemented into the season in 1966 and to date has held it's reputation as one of the fastest 6f races in europe.
It often attracts some of the best worldwide competition, sporting challengers from all over the globe such as Australia, Japan and Europe. Haydock is renowned for its long, uphill run-in of just under 4f. Punters should bear this in mind when placing a bet; ideally the winner of this should handle softish ground and stay a little further than the six furlong trip.
