The Tingle Creek Trophy is a National Hunt Race for the five year olds and above. They have to tackle thirteen fences over two miles.
The venue is Sandown Park and the race gets its name from a famous horse who had great success at Sandown racecourse in the 70's.
Two horses have dominated this race over the past four years, Kauto Star who has won it for the last two years and Moscow Flyer who won it in 2003 and 2004.
A real test of jumping ability and stamina the Tingle Creek brings together the best 2 mile chasers, it is one of the most popular betting National Hunt Races of the calendar.
Obviously when looking to pick the winner of this race you need a horse that has proven jumping ability along with speed and stamina. This usually means looking closely at the horses that are heading the betting. Stats show that there is rarely a major upset in this race.
