The Welsh Grand National is held at Chepstow racecourse and is a grade 3 National Hunt race for five year old horses and above.
Twenty two fences to be jumped here over a distance of three miles five and a half furlongs it is contested by some who ran in the Grand National at Aintree.
It is a major event in the racing calendar and every year is strongly supported by racing fans from all over the country.
Stamina really is the name of the game here, being run in the middle of winter the ground is usually difficult so good stamina should go to the top of your list when looking to pick the winner.
Look for horses that have previously won or been placed at Chepstow, there have been few upsets in the betting, so maybe look to the ones that are heading the betting.
