The Winter Derby is run on the polytrack all-weather circuit at Lingfield Park racecourse in March, it is a group three flat race and is open to horses of four years of age and above.
Racing distance is one mile two furlongs,quite often there can be an upset here as many classy turf performers fail to shine whereas those less classy but like the artificial racing surface do well, so it pays to remember this when placing a bet on this race.
No trainer has won the race twice and the only jockey to win here more than once is Frankie Dettori.
