The Yorkshire Cup is run at York racecourse in May, it is a Group 2 flat race and is open to horses of four years of age and above.
Race distance is one mile five furlongs and is contested by the best of the best of the stayers.
The race is the showpiece on the last day of Yorks May Festival which is over three days, a very big event on the racing calendar and one which attracts plenty of betting activity.
