Paco Boy made amends in April by winning the Bet365 Mile at Sandown after previously disappointing in the Dubai Duty Free.

He had proved himself unbeatable at seven furlongs but showed at Sandown that he can get the mile all be it looking rather tired at the finish. He goes off as hot favourite here, short odds but difficult to see what if anything can give him a hard time.

Paco Boy's trainer Richard Hannon also has Major Cadeaux who hasn't been seen since December when finishing eighth in the Hong Kong Mile. This one usually performs at his best first time out so may be a great each way bet.

As the odds suggest if there is to be a challenge it could well come from William Haggas' Aqlaam who has yet to try the mile, lightly raced with just three starts but gave an impressive display to score in the Jersey Stakes over seven furlongs last time out in June.

Pressing, trained by Michael Jarvis makes his seasonal reappearance, this six year old is having a great career, he is usually a consistant sort but bare in mind that all of his wins have come from foreign shores so far. His last run in December in the Hong Kong Mile was probably one of his worst runs, he finished way down the field, his connections will be hoping he can return here back to his usual self.

Others of interest at this stage include Twice Over who will run if the ground is not to fast, he went to post as favourite last month in the Earl of Sefton Stakes but could only manage third slot, however with some give underfoot he could well romp home.

Dream Eater gave his best display to date last month to arrive home in runner up slot to Paco Boy in the Bet365 Mile, he faces an even tougher task here but he deserves his chance.
