Last Ran: 12th January 2009
The rescheduled Punchestown Juvenile Hurdle now gets underway on Monday and sees Tharawaat go to post to try and continue what has so far been a great campaign. Last seen in December coming runner up to Lethal Weapon in the Grade 1 Durkan Juvenile Hurdle. He is reported to have come out of that race very well, a smart performer who should give a good account of himself here.
Tom Mullins has the progresssive King Of Queens who came in behind Tharawaat in the Durkan New Homes Juvenile Hurdle on his last outing. He ran a good race but was never going to catch the first two and failed to raise his game. He had previously won at Thurles with a comfortable margin showing that he does have ability but he will need to improve on this to be in with a shot here.
Ebadiyan, trained by Oliver Brady ran a blinder at Naas at the begining of the month looking much more at home than he did at Punchestown on New Years Eve where he was outpaced to come third on his hurdling debut. A step up in class here so it is doubtful he will find this task as easy as Naas.
