Some of the top staying hurdlers line up on Thursday to contest the 2009 Ladbrokes.com World Series Hurdle at Punchestown.

The betting market went all of a flurry after the withdrawal of firm ante post favourite Punchestowns and now sees the Willie Mullins trained Fiveforthree heading the betting.

This seven year old year old is a pretty decent hurdler having had nine career starts with four wins. Last seen in the Aintree Hurdle he came a respected runner up to Solwhit, he now steps up to three miles but it shouldn't pose a problem. He is currently 11/8 with William Hill who are offering a free bet of £25 to new customers.

Fair Along goes for Philip Hobbs, this seven year old has put in some decent efforts recently with third slot in the Cleeve Hurdle, a bit of a let down at Cheltenham to come nineth, his last outing at Aintree produced another third. He can be had at 8/1.

Powerstation 5/1 is second in the betting, trained by Eamonn O'Connell he took third slot at Cheltenham where he showed stamina to be his strong point, Nigel Twiston Davies has Pettifour 12/1 who didn't handle Cheltenham but ran a decent race at Aintree last time out to take fourth slot in the Liverpool Hurdle.
