Emma Lavelle's Kilcrea Castle had his first outing for his new trainer in January at Ascot in the VictorChandler.com handicap Chase where he put in a fine performance to take third slot. He is reported to be in great spirits ahead of Saturday and could well be knocking at the door here.
Tom George send's the well fancied Nacarat to bid to do it two years running, this nine year old last had an outing at Kempton in the King George VI Chase over this course and distance where he took fourth slot. He had previoulsy gone off the boil a tad but his performance at Christmas suggests he could be back.
Paul Nicholls relies on Fistral Beach to fly the flag, this strong contender has had a good time of things recently with a win last time out at here at Kempton and previously took runner up slots in his last five races.
David Pipe has a duo in top weight Madison Berlais who missed his planned race at Wincanton due to the weather and Piraya.
Other interesting contenders include Ollie Magern and Razor Royale who both go for Nigel Twiston Davis, Something Wells for Venetia Williams along with Atouchbetweenacara.
Nicky Henderson goes for Oedipe, Andrew Turnell has a sole runner in Bible Lord while Miss Mitch, Private Be and Le Burf complete the field.
