The 2008 renewal of the Relkeel Hurdle is held on Saturday at Cheltenham racecourse, this race is closely watched by those monitoring the betting for the World Hurdle later in the season as it can throw up some interesting contenders.

One to watch this year is the Nicky Henderson trained Punchestowns who was last seen here at Cheltenham in the middle of December making his handicap debut. He made light work of things to storm to victory and if he turns up here like that he will be hard to beat.

Serabad looks an interesting sort, trained by Peter Bowen he was a recent Aintree winner and had a very successful season as a juvenile. He needs soft ground and it looks like there is more to come from him, whether that will be here remains to be seen but definatly one to watch.

Another interesting contender is Junior trained by Alan King who lines up in great shape after a win in the Winter Hurdle.
