A total of five for the Grade 1 Challengers Novices Chase at Sandown on Saturday with Nicky Henderson's Punchestowns leading the way.
This seven year old came runner up in last seasons World Hurdle and made his chase debut in November winning in impressive style. Havoc with the weather means he has until now been unable to build on that sucess but he will get his chance on Saturday to show he is a major player to be taken seriously.
Paul Nicholls sends Tchico Polos who is the more experienced over fences and usually is thereabouts but took a fall last time out on Boxing Day. Back to two miles four furlongs here which should help his cause but unless Punchestowns arrives under par it will still be a difficult task to get his head in front.
Final Bid, Pocket Aces and Commanche Dream complete the field.
