Karabak was last seen settling for the runner up position at Cheltenham in the Ballymore Novices Hurdle, he showed great stamina although his jumping was in question at times., he likes a strongly run race.
The winner of the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham lines up on Friday to attempt to show Aintree how it is done. Weapon's Amnesty made quite an easy job of things in March and given the same conditions he could well deliver once again here.
Paul Nicholls had to settle for runner up slot in March with Pride of Dulcote losing out to Weapon's Amnesty, he ran a blinder and could well do again here, however he had a tough race and one has to wonder how that will effect his run on Friday.
On Raglan Road trained by Howard Johnson had to settle for fourth slot at Cheltenham, he struggled up the hill at the finish after delivering a good run, Aintree could suit him better and has to be considered.
