Jim Bolger's three times Group 1 winner Lush Lashes leads a field of nine for the 2009 Windsor Forest Stakes, this four year old won the Coronation Stakes here last season and was last seen arriving home in third slot in the Tattersalls Gold Cup in her seasonal debut. The soft ground did her no favours that day, this race will be more to her liking, as the odds suggest she has to be the one to beat.

Heaven Sent attempts to go one better than last year, she took runner up slot after a good run, she lost on on the win to Sabana Perdida. Her return to work saw her score in the Group 3 Dahlia Stakes in May, however not a lot can be gained from this, it was a rather poor renewal with just four runners. This six year old just seems to fall short in top level company.

Mick Shannon has Eva's Request who outshone eight rivals in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom on Derby Day, this four year old does tend to be a bit hit and miss but she deserves her run here.

Spacious came third to Eva's Request that day, trained by James Fanshawe she came runner up in the 2008 1000 Guineas ahead of Lush Lashes, she is usually somewhere in the mix but recently rarely arrives home first.

Andre Fabre has Proviso, Brian Meehan has Rosaleen while Chantilly Tiffany, She's Our Mark and Royal Confidence complete the line up.
