The Masters Snooker is held at Wembley Arena every year in January. Although not a ranking tournament it is one of the most prestigious tournaments with more prize money than any other tournament except the World Championships.
The top 16 seeds for ranking events are automatically invited, while the other players enter a qualifying tournament which grants the winner a wildcard .
Matches are played best out of 11 frames except the final which is played best out of 19.
It is a very popular event, always sold out and has great TV coverage.
Betting is very popular at the Masters and is usually concentated around the outright winner and the individual matches.
