Murray is proving to be a real contender for the final here, he produced his best tennis in his last match against Stanislas Wawrinka,and also showed that he can fight back when it counts by coming back from two sets down against Jurgen Melzer earlier in the tournament. There is a Grand Slam somewhere for Murray and given that the US Open is his favourite tournament dare we believe that this is the one, not sure about that yet but as the odds suggest I cant see Del Potro getting in his way of progressing one step further.

Del Porto is in danger of ending his twenty three match wining streak here, I would imagine this will be one of Murrays hardest matches of the tournament, certainly on paper it would seem we are in for a thriller, the two players personally go back a long way but fell out earlier this year, Murray is quoted as saying " I wasn't great friends with him before. I don't need to be friends with him now." seems there is more than a tennis match to be won here and my money has got to be on Murray.
