The Madrid Masters, or to give it it's full Spanish title, Mutua Madrileña Masters Madrid, is part of the annual ATP Masters Series. The Madrid Masters is the eighth of the nine events in the Masters Series.
It is held annually on indoor hardcourts in the Madrid Arena. Prior to 2002, it was held in Stuttgart before moving to it's new venue. Before that, the event was held in Essen, Germany, and prior to that in Stockholm, Sweden.
Amazingly, as of 2008, the event has had fourteen different winners over the last fourteen years.
