The ATP Masters Series event from Miami - otherwise known as the Miami Masters is the second in the list of Masters Series events, held every year towards the end of March, in Key Biscayne, Florida. It's sponsorship name is currently the Sony Ericsson Open.
Prestige wise, the Miami Masters stands just above the Indian Wells Masters, and is infact known as the "Fifth Grand Slam". It is a 96 draw and lasts for almost two weeks, as do the Grand Slams.
The tournament has had a few names over the years, including the Lipton International Players Championships, Ericsson Open and NASDAQ-100 Open. The current sponsorship deal with Sony Ericsson is worth $20,000,000 over four years.
